convenient access to parks and city attractions
I enjoyed how close the hotel was to both Lakes Bay Preserve, perfect for a peaceful stroll, and the Atlantic City Convention Center. The location made my weekend adventure enjoyable and filled with sightseeing, even though the hotel itself had some cleanliness issues.

Only about a 10 minute drive from Atlantic City
Was not very clean. Both the facilities team and the owners live there. Not much of an issue unless you get placed to next to the facilities room because they are in and out of the room all night and haven't taken the effort to grease the door so you hear constant squeaking. The room also went through obvious water damage as the carpet and walls were damp and there was a moldy/musky smell. The older man was not very hospitable or friendly and even tried charging me for the "complimentary continental breakfast" which actually turned out to be a dollar store quality cheese danish. Kind of odd that they like to store their broken equipment in the hotel rooms also as we had two random broken TVs just sitting in the corner.

very close to AC, You can see the casino's and water, nice view. Room was clean and bath/shower.
Old decor. A few things were falling apart but nothing that concerned me since I just needed a place to sleep and shower.

Had a great night with comfy beds and a cold fridge, which made everything easier. The renovations made it feel fresh, but my room was missing the TV remote.

We were able to check in late night, as we came down to Atlantic City for a music festival. This was the cheapest hotel that we found on Booked.net and the closest to Atlantic City, without staying in the city itself, which was prohibitively expensive. The staff brought us extra towels as soon as we requested them and were basically attentive to any of our needs, which were few. I honestly don't get the people that gave this place terrible reviews. Sure it's not the nicest hotel/ motel, but for the price in the area that it is in, it is economical and fair. If you want the Hilton, go book a room there. This is not the Hilton, nor does it claim to be.
The rooms could have been a little cleaner and the tv remote was broken.

Nothing.
This place was FILTHY. The type of place you don't want to take your shoes off in. Smelled like mold. Carpets were stained in various spots. Furniture was burned by previous travelers by cigarettes or who knows what else. Wallpaper peeling off the wall. Beer bottle caps all over the floor. Hair in the shower. Towels as hard as cardboard. No fitted sheets on the bed, only 2 flat sheets. Didn't even want to touch the bedding. Blinds didn't close all the way & the outside lights were so bright that the inside of the room was lit up all night. Traffic whizzing by (good thing I had ear plugs). No breakfast, as promised. Also, I didn't even get the room I booked. I booked a single king. It was given away by the time I got there. Overall, ZERO quality of this place.

Not your 5-star retreat, but solid enough for a quick stay
Had the chance to unwind with a nice room that felt fresh, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Wi-Fi worked without a hitch, and the owners were actually kind of helpful when I had questions about the area.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was manageable for a night.

Honestly, one of the worst hotels I've ever been too. The only good thing was the wifi.
Lamp broken, water tasted and smelled like metal, stains everywhere like on carpet and pillows, towels were damp and not replaced next day, scratches on all furniture, dead bugs and grime on overhead light, door was open and unlocked upon first arrival. Looks like one guy doing everything at the front desk, I woke him up twice when ringing the bell to get into the front desk area.

Close to the beach
Bathroom poked filthy, was clean but feel like you need to wear clothes to take a shower!

Surprisingly accommodating during chaos
The friendly staff were eager to help, especially Bob, who went out of his way to assist with check-in and offered some handy supplies for my cooler.
The room cleanliness left much to be desired, with a jacuzzi that had a film on the water and a cable TV that caused frustration .

We had to purchase cleaning supplies such as bleach and shower cleaners. We wanted a refund, but were unable to obtain one. We out of fear purchased bed bug spray and other bug killers. This is a motel filled with welfare and homeless people. Constant traffic all hours of night. A truck driver was constantly in and out starting his truck and leaving for short periods of 15-20 minutes. It appeared to be drug runs. Horrible motel!!!! Also they do not offer laundry to wash clothes,as this is for permanent tenants.

The overall experience was disappointing with the
Hygiene standards severely lacking. Upon entering our room, we were met with cigarette butts, dirty towels, and a clogged sink. We felt uncomfortable and chose to leave immediately. It's frustrating to not receive any refund.
